A delightful cottage set in the small village of Keld in Upper Swaledale.The scenic attractions of Swaledale are renowned - the narrow valley bottom with both the Dale road and the River Swale squeezed in (and often changing places).The steep sided slopes, part craggy, part forested and the heather clad fell tops, mauve in summer - and make the Dale a favourite choice of regular and discerning visitors to the National Park.

Keld provides an excellent base for touring all the Yorkshire Dales, the Eden Valley and the Lake District, all within day trip driving range and wonderful scenery all the way. Or on hand are lovely walks along quiet river banks and across meadows or for the adventurous by following the Pennine Way onto the high fells.Reeth 12 miles away is the main village of Swaledale, and has a small range of shops and services, a choice of tea rooms, pubs and restaurants all serving excellent food.There are interesting visitor attractions including the Swaledale Museum.A weekly market is held each Friday on the village green. As you travel down Swaledale you meet attractive villages with eating establishments and tourist attractions.

East View Cottage has been tastefully renovated, and has partly upside down accommodation.There are beamed ceilings, flagged and wood floors.The dining area of the cottage can be used very comfortably for relaxing, with easy chairs and a colour TV.There are beautiful views from all the windows on to the village of Keld or the high fells in the distance.
