The scenery in Upper Wensleydale is absolutely stunning, some of the finest of offer in all the Yorkshire Dales.This is walking country par excellence and a stroll alongside the River Ure as it threads its way between the rocks and the rapids at Aysgarth are a holiday highlight that must not be missed.Hawes is a traditional stone built market town of character with pubs, restaurants, tea rooms and a very good selection of shops.There are interesting visitor attractions, including working rope maker, The Dales Countryside Museum and the much publicised Gayle Mill as featured in the BBC programme "Restoration".

Simonstone a small hamlet is situated a mile away from the market town of Hawes, on the road leading into Swaledale which takes you over the Buttertubs Pass. It is centrally located for visiting all the Yorkshire Dales, the Lake District and the North Yorkshire Moors all within day trip driving range and wonderful scenery all the way.Or on hand are lovely walks, along quiet river banks and across meadows or for the more adventurous by following the Pennine Way into the surrounding high fells.

Stagsfell Cottage is a delightful bungalow situaed in the hamlet of Simonstone, approx 1 mile from the market town of Hawes.It is south facing with views between the trees back towards Hawes and fells in the distance.It is comfortably furnished and tastefully decorated with fitted carpets throughout.The bedrooms and lounge have double aspect windows making it a light and airy cottage.

Entrance into hallway.A small fitted kitchen comprises electric cooker, cooker hood, fridge and microwave.Lounge with comfortable settee and chair, colour TV with video player, sky box and a log effect electric stove.Fold away table and chairs.Two bedrooms - 1 double room and a twin bedded room both with wardrobe and drawers.Shower Room with shower cubicle, handbasin and toilet again those lovely views.Outside a small garden laid to lawn and a patio area to the front of the cottage.There is private parking for 2 medium cars.

SERVICES: All electricity and programmed central heating included in the rent, extra time on the central heating comes at an extra charge. Immersion heater.Duvet with covers, but please bring your own sheets, pillowcases, towels and tea towels - a linen hire service is available.One small pet allowed.Outside furniture.This is a no smoking cottage.Parking for 2 cars at the cottage.
